Anti-Trafficking (AT) Network of Serbia is a network of organizations of civil society that plans and takes anti-trafficking actions, in cooperation with relevant stakeholders, in order to prevent, reduce and solve the problem of human trafficking on the national and local level in the Republic of Serbia.

Human trafficking is a serious felony and grave social problem because it most drastically violates basic human rights – the right to life, the right to choose, the right to freedom of movement. Whenever a person is sold or bought in order to be exploited by being forced to sex work, beggary, domestic servitude, theft or marriage, it is a case of human trafficking.

35 representatives of institutions and CSOs through cross-sectoral training "Improving the response to trafficking in human beings" improved their knowledge in working on cases of trafficking in human beings through the identification of obstacles and exchange of experiences. The training was realized in Vrnjacka Banja with the participation of relevant prticipants in the fight against human trafficking: police (Nis, Zrenjanin, Leskovac, Belgrade, Prijepolje, Pirot, Uzice, Vranje), prosecutor's office (Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Belgrade, Nis, Vranje), centers for social work (Nis, Vranje, Dimtrovgrad, Prijepolje, Vlasotince, Zrenjanin) and non-governmental organizations, members of the AT network (Belgrade, Uzice, Prijepolje, Nis, Vlasotince, Vranje).

July 30th was established as "World Anti-Trafficking Day" in order to draw the attention of the global public to the ubiquity of this problem. Activists of the Anti-Trafficking Network from Užice, Vranje, Vlasotince, Dimitrovgrad and Niš marked this day with street actions in which they distributed flyers and sent a message to their fellow citizens that this problem exists in our country and that only together we can solve it.

In Vrnjačka Banja, 17 girls have received knowledge on the topic of trafficking in human beings and the skills necessary for conducting workshops over the past three days. In the coming period, they will become peer educators. In Bor, Pirot, Niš, Vlasotinac, Užice, Prijepolje, Kragujevac and Belgrade, they will conduct 40 workshops and impart knowledge to their peers.
