The organization ASTRA, one of the members of the AT network, continued its intensive fight against human trafficking throughout 2025 through prevention activities, education, and direct support to victims.
During the year, a large number of calls for help and support were recorded. ASTRA’s SOS hotline for victims of human trafficking received 3,958 calls, while the European hotline for missing children 116 000 recorded 6,159 calls. In the same period, 32 victims of human trafficking were identified, 171 cases of missing children were registered, 125 field actions were conducted, and a total of 1,515 different support services were provided.


In addition to direct work with beneficiaries, ASTRA organized nine regional and one national conference during the year, as well as nine training sessions intended for professionals, representatives of institutions, and civil society organizations. Fifteen thematic workshops and 19 guest lectures were also held, and one new cooperation network was established.
The organization’s work was also highly visible in the public sphere. A total of 78 articles and reports about ASTRA’s work were published in print and electronic media, while 407 media reports were recorded overall. Representatives of the organization participated in 69 events organized by partner organizations, as well as in 11 different initiatives, events, and campaigns.

During 2025, ASTRA also carried out one crowdfunding campaign, developed five accredited training programs and five sets of strategic documents, while members of the organization spent more than 40 hours participating in discussions and interviews with researchers and Master’s and PhD students. In addition, 10 publications, analyses, and research papers were published.
Special importance was given to the organization’s presence on social media, where the total reach of posts exceeded 350,000 people.
In addition to the activities listed above, many other actions, meetings, initiatives, and activities were organized and implemented with the aim of improving victim protection, raising public awareness, and strengthening cooperation between institutions and civil society organizations.
