PR Training for AT Network Members

Public Relation Training was organized for the members of the Anti-Trafficking Network in Niš from February 17 to 19, 2017. The training was held by Mirela Veljović Fazlić, an activist of the Women's Forum Prijepolje and a reporter of TV Forum Prijepolje, and Katarina Ivanović, in charge of public relations in ASTRA.

International Human Rights Day in Užice

The Anti-Trafficking Network commemorated December 10th – the International Human Rights Day in Užice. Thirteen activists of the AT Network took part in a street action.

At the action, which was well reported in media, the activists used banners to ask for respecting human rights and sent the following messages: “Only United Can We Stop Human Trafficking” and “Women's Rights are Human Rights”.

Human Trafficking Training for Institutions

From October 26 to 28, 2016, the Anti-Trafficking Network organized training for institutions on the issues of human trafficking, victim communication skills and the importance of intersectoral cooperation. The training was held in Vrnjačka Banja.

It was attended by the representatives of the Social Work Centres and Police Administrations from the cities in which AT Network members operate SOS Helplines – Vranje, Vlasotince, Leskovac and Niš. Marija Anđelković and Jovana Krotić from ASTRA held the training involving 31 participants.

European Anti-Trafficking Day in Vranje

The members of the Anti-Trafficking Network commemorated October 18th – the European Anti-Trafficking Day in Vranje.

Twenty-one activists from five cities took part in a street action, which involved holding banners and distributing leaflets with information on the problem of human trafficking and contact information of all members of AT Network.

AT Network Meeting and Advanced Training on Human Trafficking

From October 12 to 14, 2016, an advanced training on the problem of human trafficking and AT Network meeting were held in Kraljevo. The basic training was attended by 17 new activists of the AT Network, where they learned about the phenomenon of human trafficking and its forms, who the potential traffickers and potential victims are, the ways of getting caught in the trafficking chain, differences between smuggling and trafficking, and sexual exploitation and voluntary prostitution, prejudices about human trafficking and the ways to protect themselves from becoming trafficking victims.
