On February 28, 2017, the round table entitled "Human Trafficking – Access to Compensation" was held for the representatives of the prosecution offices and courts from Niš, Leskovac and Vranje, the cities where the members of the AT Network work and operate SOS Helplines.

It was attended by 14 participants from the Higher Court and Basic Prosecution Office in Leskovac, the Basic Court and the Basic and Higher Prosecution Offices in Niš, SOS for Women and Children Victims of Violence in Vlasotince and the Center for Girls from Niš.

The participants discussed how small the number of case is in which women victims of trafficking obtain compensation after being rescued from the trafficking chain, then how to help such a victim without further complicating their situation, what problems prevent access to compensation and how they could be resolved, as well as what good practices European countries apply.

The round table was moderated by Ivana Radović from ASTRA and Dejana Spasojević, a lawyer.

It was supported by OAK and Trag Foundations within the project "Women's NGOs against Human Trafficking in Serbia".
